#1. CRPAOS: GENERAL INFORMATION AND ACADEMIC ADMINISTRATION

1.        School Profile
Chiang Rai Provinsial Administrative Organization School (CRPAOS) is a local public school under CRPAO, Department of Local Administration, Ministry of Interior. Located in Mueang Chiang Rai, Rim Kok, Mueang Chiang Rai District, Chiang Rai 57100, Thailand. The Director of this school is Dr. Sarawut Sutawong, with three vice directors are Mrs. Pattana Souyngam, Mr. Weerayut Keelawong, and Mr. Worawit Kittiwong.

2.        Academic Support System
Just like the other school, education in Thailand is provided mainly by the Thailand government through the Ministry of Education from Pre-School to Senior High School. A free basic education of twelve years is guaranteed by the constitution, with minimun of nine years school attendance. In 2009, the Ministry of Education announced the extension of a free mandatory education to fifteen years.
CRPAOS provides 1 school, 3 curriculums, 4 grades, and 14 programs. The grades are Kindergarten, Primary, Mattayom 1-3 (Junior High School), and Mattayom 4-6 (Senior High School). It also has 14 programs, there are Genius Science-Math (GSM), preparing students for future studies in medicine and engineering. Talented Science-Math (TSM), teach from experience, learning through diverse interaction, integrating together personal development and social dimension. The third program is Talented English Program (TEP), support students to join exchange projects in order to gain a real experience in interaction with foreigners. The fourth is Talented Chinese Program (TCP), focuses on Chinese language and support students with interactive learning.
The fifth program is Talented General Program (TGP), students can develop their own talents in music, dance, arts, craft, and technology skills by focusing on their specific interests. The sixth is Citizen Empowerment Program (CEP), contributes to the student’s life and work skills for their future. Next is Pre-Cadet (PCD), focuses on the basic knowledge to prepare students who are interested in becoming a soldier. Eighth is Pre-Mini Master of Bussiness Administration (Pre-Mini MBA), focuses on students to have a professional skills in bussiness and marketing. Ninth is Retail Management Program (RMP), focuses on retail bussiness so students can earn the money during their studies.
Tenth is Pre-Educator Program (PEP), assist students who dream of becoming a teacher by continuing their studies in Faculty of Education in the future. Eleventh is Performing Art Program (PAP), concentrates on students with a talent and passion for music, art, and performance. Next is Smart Chef Program (SCP), focuses on enhancing the cooking skill of the students and offering them the opportunity to apply and practice skill learned. Thirteenth is Merchant Marine Program (MMP), focusing on educating students about import and export activities by sea in addition to marine logistics. Last is Excellence Sports (E-Sport), to help the students to become professional athletes in football, handball, and athletics.
CRPAOS also has 10 groups learning consist of: Mathematics, Science, Thai Language, Foreign Language, Art, Social, Scotland, Health Education and Physical Education, Kindergarten and Primary School, and Support.

3.        Teaching System
The teaching system is based on the overall development of the students because in the classroom, the teaching of thinking is a vital skill for the future. Teaching and the learning process between teachers and students will lead to the greater achievement of the students.
In the classroom, teachers become the facilitators for students, supporting and encouraging them to explore their own abilities. The teachers focus on each individual student becoming a better person and improving their opportunities for a better future.

4.      Materials and Learning Sources
The materials and learning sources are provided by teachers. Students are not using any text book for their lesson. All of the materials are already prepared by teacher. Students are allowed to use smartphone.

5.      Measurement and Evaluation Systems
At the end of the lesson, teacher always ask the students about the material have been learnt.

6.      Curriculum
CRPAOS use The Basic Education Core Curriculum B. E. 2551 (A.D 2008) from The Ministry of Education.

7.      Teaching Plan
Since I am majoring Geography, it’s included in Social Studies. So I have the Curriculum of Learning Area of Social Studies, Religion, and Culture. The main strands are Religion, Morality, and Ethics;, Civics, Culture, and Living;, Economics, History, and Geography.
